Fuck Zhane: In defense of the Tyra show.
This won’t be long, but…
I woke up this morning and my best friend is hating on the Tyra show.
She can suck my dick.
I should revoke her best friend memory chip.
I know Tyra isn’t qualified to give advice….
But that show is amazing. Call me a dork. Call me dumb, but the issues talked about on Tyra from as fluffy as “Makeovers” to something that needs to get talked about such as “teen bullying”. The Tyra show is the first show I watched in which someone admitted that lighter skin woman in the black and other minority communities may get favored. The Tyra show was the first show I watched in which I felt like it was okay to not be a size four. The Tyra show was the first show I watched in which topics that no one wanted to talk about were discussed.
So yes Tyra is a quack.
Yes she is insane.
Yes she could probably do better giving cosmetic advice.
But honestly it just goes to show you: even a model can have a brain. And although she connects everything to herself, you have to think, you just have to think:
Why would President (candidate at the time) Barack Obama choose the Tyra show to do his first national television media fluff interview on if the Tyra show was a so “vapid” and “wrong.”
I’m not saying the show is gold. But there is something… i don’t know… beautiful there. I’m sad that it’s ending. Wtf am I suppose to watch now between 4-6 on weekdays?
Ellen? Hilarious until she starts speaking. She should just dance her ass off. Oprah? Her shows actually scare me all the time. Every-time I turn on Oprah it’s about kidnapping and rape. Rachel Ray? What does she even talk about…. Dr. Oz? He pisses me off and tells you wrong information.
Tyra was aimed towards young people (young women) aged 13-28 and I think it reached us.
So Fuck Zhane. I liked the show.
