I turn 18 in less than 10 minutes and have been overtaken by a crippling wave of nostalgia. This song is no less awesome than it was a decade ago and I finally understand what they mean by “pissing the night away”. Alcohol will do that to you.
Immigrant Song By Karen O, Trent Reznor & Atticus Ross
I saw The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo last night. After reading the book and seeing the Swedish film adaptation I can’t say that this version of the film really brought anything new to the table; except the phenomenal soundtrack. Trent and Atticus have struck gold again and I hope they win the Oscar for this. This song plays over the very sensual and strangely violent opening credits.
We come from the land of ice and snow,
From the midnight sun where the hot springs flow.
The hammer of the gods will drive our ships to new lands,
To fight the horde, singing and crying: Valhalla, I am coming!
I just finished watching the Victoria Secret Fashion Show and this song was playing on all of the tv spots. The models were lackluster, but the song caught my attention.
I don’t usually enjoy female vocalists, but the intensity of this song really grabs me. The lyrics are simple to say the least, but Bethany Consentino makes the most of them.
I want you so much
And I want you so much
And I want you so much
And I want you so much

Bonfire by Childish Gambino
I have tickets for his New York concert on November 3rd and his album, Camp, drops on November 1st. Guess who’s hyped?
I made the beat retarded so I’m calling it a slow jam
This is the anthem for anyone who is jaded from the world. When everything seems utterly hopeless. When frustration boils inside of you because you try and try but nothing happens. When everything seems to be going against your way. When you ask yourself where is my mind? When you just need to loose touch with reality and disconnect. This is song for that very feeling.
“With your feet in the air and your head on the ground.”
A great remix of one of my favorite songs by one of my favorite dubstep artists.
I’m rediscovering my love for Crystal Castles and this is probably my favorite song by them because I’ve always been a sucker for songs with lyrics in languages that I can’t speak.
